The task:

Read one critical article dealing with Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and write a 1/2 page synopsis of the article.

Romeo and Juliet

Requirements:

-Works cited at the bottom of the page, formatted correctly

-Article must be accessed on internet throught the databases (see Finding Articles tab)

-You must quote the article 3 times with correct citation format

-Single-spaced

-12 point or smaller font size

Help/Advice:

1.  Make sure to use the proper works cited format.  (See Pocket Style Guide or MLA Citation Tab)

2.  Here's the proper in-text citation format in the paper:

Julius Caesar was, "the greatest of their national heroes, the crown and consummation of Roman genius and character had been murdered for aspiring to it" (Hudson).  So we reralize that blah, blah, blah...

3. Don't just pick the shortest article.  Pick one that you can understand.  Many of these articles are written by scholars for scholars; the language isn't always easy.

4.  Don't do a biography of Shakespeare.  I want this to enrich your understanding or Romeo and Juliet specifically.
